The University of Oregon celebrated “Family Day” on Saturday, with a twist on art.
The event, designed for children, focused on making art with all of your five senses. Organizers set up art stations for families at UO’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, where children were able to create art, inspired by pieces in the gallery.
“There’s one station where they’re making pop-up cards based on scent,” said Hannah Bastian, with the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. “They are smelling the scent first, they’re creating a scene in the pop up card based on that scent, and they’re adding a little bot of that scent to their card.”
