Boutique hotel group Hotel du Vin has partnered up with a Harrogate-based gin supplier to create a handful of suites inspired by the popular tipple.
Hotel du Vin Wimbledon, Brighton, Birmingham, York and Harrogate are now home to special ‘multi sensory’ bedrooms, complete with living botanicals and a mini gin bar, created as part of a new venture with Slingsby Gin.
The new suites also boast floor-to-ceiling plants, designed by award-winning Chelsea Flower Show garden expert Matthew Wilson, alongside ganging sky planters, vintage suitcases filled with herbs and copper details and a grapefruit tree, a key element to the process at Slingsby.
Full size bottles of Slingsby London Dry and Rhubarb gins are stocked in the bars in each of the rooms, with garnishes and tonics available from a bar trolley.
Designer Wilson used the 24 botanicals found in Slingsby to transform five of Hotel du Vin’s suites into the ‘dream hotel’ for gin lovers.
Clare Whitaker, marketing director of Spirit of Harrogate, said: “We wanted to collaboratively create luxury suites that would be the dream hotel rooms for gin lovers to reside in and feel we have created exactly that with the botanical designs and copper gin distillery touches.”
The Slingsby Ginspiration Suites are available to guests up until 30 September.
