Launching today, on International Fragrance Day, Amkiri is a patented, first-of-its-kind ink infused with a unisex fragrance that blends invigorating spearmint with spicy ginger and juniper berry undertones, rounding it out with whispers of earthy musk and cedar wood. “We wanted to blend the most desirable scent characteristics so that it would be loved by all,” explains Shapiro, who worked with perfumers at International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. to create the clean and classic bouquet.
The ink, which comes in charcoal and ivory shades, is hypoallergenic, water-proof, cruelty-free, and easy to remove, but it’ll last at least 12 hours if you want to keep it on. As for application, there are two different wands; one of which has a wider brush designed to be used with stencils, the other a fine-tipped brush for those who can deftly freehand. Whether utilizing the brand’s stencil offerings to brush on an intricate rose in seconds or having a go at DIY stick and poke designs, it’s possible to not only put a distinctive twist on temporary ink, but leave a unique olfactory stamp, too. “There’s no better way to express your individuality than by using your body as your most personal piece of art,” says Shapiro. “We want to empower individuals with this multi-sensory form of self-expression.”
