A first in Malaysia, the House of Hennessy has undertaken a unique endeavour, a special collaboration with Tapestry Malaysia and Chef James Won of Enfin by James Won.

This comes in the form of a phenomenal awakening of the senses at an exclusive luxury dining experience where an intense array of scents, textures, aromas and Malaysian culinary flavours will fully immerse guests into an accentuated imaginative landscape of images, sounds and interactivity.

Tapestry Malaysia’s mission is to enhance guests’ senses using advance multi-sensory interactive technology coupled with a 360 degree projection – where haute gastronomy meets next-generation technology for a unique journey of the senses.

Members of the media were given a preview of the experience through a special event.

The five-course menu was carefully and lovingly prepared with the finest ingredients nature has to offer, each paired with a handpicked selection of Moët-Hennessy’s champagnes, wines and cognacs to enhance the experience and ignite the senses.

“The secret to making this dining experience truly immersive is how we use technology as a way to tell a new story. It’s a theatrical production but on an entirely different platform, where food plays a leading role in this new form of artistic expression,” said Chef James Won.

An ambitious endeavour, the motion-sensitive dining experience is a unique imaginative vision where Chef Won celebrates Maison Hennessy’s unwavering commitment to creation, excellence and legacy over the past 250 years, merging the house’s legendary savior-faire with new and progressive innovations.

“The menu centre-stages the best of Malaysia for what it is … from the tropical forest to the majestic oceans and calming highlands, covering flavours that are truly Malaysian at the core, connecting diverse backgrounds and multiracial ethnicity with food,” said Won.

Featuring locally sourced ingredients, from aromatic kumquat layered with Malaysian flavours to the flamboyant Bombe Alaska centred with sweet durian, every taste, smell or sight further embodies the inspiration behind Won’s virtual and culinary experiment: Malaysia.

Limited to 16 seats per session, the five-course menu is priced at RM999+ (with alcohol pairing) and RM790+ (without alcohol pairing) per person. Needless to say, alcohol pairing adds that extra touch of exquisiteness.

This captivating showcase of Malaysian flavours will be available to the public at Enfin by James Won, for lunch every Saturday and Sunday, and for dinner every Tuesday to Sunday until Nov 9, 2018.

This whole experience is really something else and should not to be missed by those who want to savour all the wonderful things our discerning palates can relish and appreciate. Making time to try this should be a priority to add colour and flavour to life.
