No longer will travelers have to leave the Las Vegas Strip in order to experience the natural wonders and iconic locations of the American West.
FlyOver, an immersive flight ride from global attractions and hospitality company Pursuit, has this week announced that it will debut this fall on the Las Vegas Strip. The cutting edge new attraction will take guests on a “multi-sensory journey” into nature.
The latest FlyOver was modeled after Pursuit’s existing attractions in Vancouver, Canada and Reykjavik, Iceland—but rather then the Canadian and Icelandic scenery it will feature a signature flight across the American West with the option to partake in various other flight rides that have been filmed in locations around the globe.
“FlyOver in Las Vegas will give visitors a new and visually stunning way to see breathtaking landscapes of the American West. Much like our FlyOver concepts around the world, our new Las Vegas attraction will push the boundaries of escape and take guests on the ultimate flying ride adventure,” Lisa Adams, Vice President of FlyOver Attractions, explained in a press release.
The 52-foot vibrant spherical screen will surround guests as they fly through a myriad of well-known destinations and natural splendor from a first-person perspective. Destinations will include the Las Vegas Strip, the Grand Canyon, Zion and Arches National Parks, Lake Tahoe and more.
The cutting edge, high definition technology was developed by Brogent Technologies, Inc., using a state-of-the-art moving platform with six degrees of motion that will allow guests to really feel every single movement of the journey—as if they were really soaring through the air. Special effects will also include wind, mist, and location-specific scents to help make the experience come to life.
“The need to escape, relax and restore through travel experiences will become much more meaningful as we emerge from what has been an incredibly challenging year,” David Barry, President of Pursuit added.
“Introducing a new FlyOver attraction in a globally recognized tourism destination like Las Vegas marks another milestone across Pursuit’s growing FlyOver portfolio. This new attraction will enable us to connect visitors with a distinctive experience that showcases both the vibrancy of Las Vegas along with the stunning natural wonders of the American West.”
The new FlyOver attraction will be located right next to the Hard Rock Cafe on Las Vegas Boulevard and is expected to add over 1000 new tourism jobs to the Las Vegas market. More information, including where to buy tickets, is expected to be released in the coming months leading up to the launch this fall.
